For more than two decades, NIPPON has contributed to cultural exchange through traditional dance, international collaborations, and festival culture.
Through performances, cultural projects, and international partnerships, we have connected artists and communities across borders.

Through these activities, NIPPON has created opportunities for dialogue and cultural understanding through dance and festival traditions.
■Major International Collaborations
NIPPON has collaborated with dance and music companies from many regions including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.

These projects have been presented in theaters and cultural venues across Japan and internationally.
■International Cultural Exchange Performances
Selected cultural exchange performances include:
Japan–Thailand Joint Performance at the Royal Theatre of Thailand
Japan–China Cultural Exchange Performances in Beijing and Tianjin
Mekong Cultural Exchange Anniversary Performance at Tokyo International Forum
Philippines–Japan 60th Anniversary Cultural Performance
These events brought together artists and audiences through shared stage performances and intercultural dialogue.
■Asia Awa Odori Project (2023– )
In 2023, NIPPON launched the Asia Awa Odori Team, bringing together dancers from across Asia to participate in the Koenji Awa Odori Festival in Tokyo.
What began with five members from three countries quickly grew into a team of more than 100 dancers from 13 Asian countries.
The team performed together at the festival and received 3rd Prize among 164 participating groups.
The project demonstrated how traditional festival culture can create meaningful cultural dialogue beyond borders.
■International Recognition
In 2026, NIPPON was featured in the Hub Directory of the
Min-On Music Research Institute,
an international research institute focusing on Music in Peacebuilding.
The directory introduces organizations around the world working in the fields of culture, music, and peacebuilding.
NIPPON is currently the only organization from Japan listed in the directory.

踊りと祭文化による文化交流の歩み～踊りと祭文化で世界をつなぐ
NIPPONは20年以上にわたり、日本の伝統舞踊と祭文化を通して国境を越えた文化交流活動を行ってきました。
舞台公演や国際共同制作、文化交流プロジェクトを通して、多くの国の芸術家や人々をつないできました。

NIPPONはこれまで、アジア・中東・欧州・アフリカなど多くの国の舞踊団・音楽団体との舞台制作や文化交流に携わってきました。

これらの公演では、各国の舞踊団と日本の舞踊が共演し、文化交流の舞台が創られました。
■アジア連プロジェクト（2023年〜）
2023年、アジア各国の舞踊手による 「アジア連」 を結成しました。
当初は3カ国5名から始まりましたが、最終的には 13カ国100名以上の舞踊手が参加する国際チームとなりました。
東京・高円寺阿波おどりに参加し、164団体中第3位を受賞しました。
このプロジェクトは、祭文化が国境を越えた交流と対話を生み出すことを示す象徴的な取り組みとなりました。
■国際的な評価
2026年、NIPPONの活動はMin-On Music Research Institute
のHub Directoryに掲載されました。
同研究所は、Music in Peacebuilding（音楽と平和構築）をテーマに研究を行う国際的な研究機関です。
Hub Directoryでは、文化・音楽・平和構築の分野で活動する世界各国の団体が紹介されています。
現在、日本からは NIPPONが掲載されています。
